“Parasite” from Bong Joon Ho, the Director of “Snowpiercer”!
When it seems that movies are increasingly superfluous, these come along that makes it worth the hassle of going to a movie theater when you could just sit at home in your underwear.

Eddie Murphy is Really Back This Time with “Dolemite Is My Name”
I know, as a gay person I’m not supposed to like Eddie Murphy but he has apologized and made amends and I’m glad he’s back in something that looks great.

Francis Ford Coppola’s Second Chance at “The Cotton Club”
I love it when films that were butchered when originally released get a chance to show their true intentions.

Kat Dennings Sees Human-Sized Cat Ladies in “Dollface”
We luv Kat Dennings of “Thor” and “Two Broke Girls” and she’s back in “Dollface” which debuts on November 15th on Hulu. Here, Kat plays Jules who gets dumped by her boyfriend and gets advised by a human-sized cat lady to stick with her girlfriends, whom she hasn’t seen much of since being subsumed by her relationship. She goes back to her friends and attempts to rebuild her friendships with them…so lots of hanging out, bonding, drinking, dishing funny dialogue.

Gush About Sept. 30-October 6: Batwoman, Abbey Road, The Joker!
“Batwoman”: Debuting on the CW on October 6th, it joins the huge line-up of other DC Comics shows (“The Flash”, “Black Lightning”, “Supergirl”, etc). Although I’m a comic book geek, I have little interest in these shows. However, I will tune into “Batwoman”. This stars Ruby Rose as Kate Kane, looking for her cousin Bruce Wayne who along with Batman disappeared three years earlier. She discovers the Batcave in the clip below and I assume dons the “Bat” identity from
